Shear Genius: Caption Corner - Episode V

Yes, believe it or not, I'm still alive. Please excuse my tardiness with this post but an unexpected family issue arose this past week which kept me away from my computer and prevented me from posting in a timely manner.

As always, thank you all for contributing to the wackiness by way of your comments. They are always appreciated and always bring a smile to our faces!

A special thank you goes out to Damselfly for continuing to keep us all in stitches with her caption ideas. As always, it was a close one to call but there was just something about the term "Bum-looker" that was just too damn funny. So congratulations, Damsel. You have this week's winning caption!

Here's a few warm-up images for ya. You'll find this week's blank image for your captioning pleasure at the bottom of this post.

You know you screwed up when your client turns violent or suicidal...

Ouch, Jaclyn. Very Ouch!

We are not amused...

Here's your image. As always, have fun and keep those ideas coming!

Shear Genius: That Looks Familiar...

Ok...there was definatly and audible "gasp" around the world last night as Tyson and Tabatha's hair walked down the cat walk ...bad! bad! bad!....that was all I could say. Very unexpected from them, but I guess the curse remains: wall of fame = elimination.

When I worked in a bridal salon one thing was clear...most brides end up looking like their wedding cakes. And as I watched last night it really did strike me that most bridal hair is modeled after bake goods...or is it visa versa?...maybe I'm just jonesing the carbs I'm trying not to eat...
Krispy Creme should do a "linked donut"...I think it would be a big hit. On a side note...I think all MOB's hair ends up looking like this. I know they tried to do this to my mom.

I gave up chocolate over a year ago...please indulge me as I drool. Dr. B., what is with that 80's side "thing"?...you made her look younger because you took her back in time.

Case in point, these styles were the hardest to match with a pastry...therefore, the worst looks...hmmmm?....

Congratulations, Daisy and Anthony! What a fabulous team you made! Your Grace Kelly look was a winner! And what bride wouldn't want to look as gorgeous as this beautiful, elegant actress?

Dayum, Tabatha! Talk about torpedoing your team and revealing your weak underbelly! Sometimes honesty isn't the best policy. Your opponents, Dr. Boogie and Ben, weren't necessarily better; you just gave the judges a reason for voting you and Tyson off!

Ta, ta, dahlings. It was fun while it lasted. Good luck in your styling futures!

Workout: Final Word

It may have just been me but Jackie seemed a bit stand-offish last night...not just with Andy but with her trainers also. Even when they were talking about the loss of Doug and everyone else was crying, she came across as removed. This has been a tough season on all fronts: loss of friends, family struggles, loss of relationships, business ventures going poorly...and an odd dating situation. Definatly not as "light" as last season...I wonder if there'll be a next season?

Shear Genius Episode 5: Hair of the Dog!

Posted by Eric3000

Tabatha: "The episode is called hair of the dog? Son of a bitch! I told you we were going to have to give haircuts to dogs! I just knew it! What further indignities will I have to endure?"

Relax! I just made up that title. You won't really have to give a haircut to a dog ... this week.

The real title of this week's episode is "Freak to Greek." the geniuses have to take a bunch of long-haired weirdos and make them look like shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis.
