Shear Genius Finale: the three stylists you will meet in heaven!

Posted by Eric3000

Eight episodes? Really? That's it? I thought there would be at least one more. I thought this episode would narrow it down to the final two, who would compete in the finale next week. I should probably pay more attention.

We start the episode with the three final geniuses sitting with Rene. It looks like Rene should be interviewing them but he is really just telling them what has happened on the show:

Rene: "Hi hi! First you all came on the show and then you cut some hair and people got into arguments and you all cried like little girls and some people were sent home and a bunch of other stuff happened and now we are just left with the three of you!"

Geniuses: "We know all that, Rene. We were there."

Rene: "OK, Mr. and Mrs. Smartypantses, why don't you give us a sound bite."

Anthony: "I have 43 years of experience in the styling industry. And that's pretty impressive because I'm only 39."

Daisy: "At the beginning I was completely misunderestimated."

Ben: "Making it this far on the show is really an accomplishment. But I don't care about all that shit; I'm just in it for the money."

The geniuses learn that they will recreating a Vidal Sassoon style made famous by Olympic silver medalist and hair legend Michelle Kwan. Then they are introduced to the guest judge: God.

The End, Thud

Shear Genius, Episode 7: Photo Shit!

Oh, sorry; pardon my French. I should have said "Photo Shoot."

Posted by Eric3000

You'll remember last week's episode ended with Tyson and Tabatha faking their own deaths to conceal their incestuous relationship. Daisy and Anthony won, which means Anthony will be going home this week (it can't be Daisy)!

The quickfire challenge will be to work with Franco-American hair:

Guest Judge: "First you have to determine whether the hair is more like SpaghettiOs or RavioliOs."

Who will go all the way?

My gut tells me Daisy will win. But, hey, I've been wrong before! So I decided to go the "scientific route."

I've tallied up the scores for Daisy, Ben, and Anthony, assigning points for wins and standings. (Go to Wikipedia to view the chart I used. ) I gave 5 points for winning the elimination challenge, 4 points for placing high in the elimination challenge, etc, and came up with the following scores.
Daisy - 24 points (on the strength of two wins and four placements in the top group)

Anthony - 18 points (on the strength of one short cut win and two hight placements in the elimination challenge.)

Ben - 13 points (on the strength of being neither in the top or the bottom on three occasions, and placing high in an elimination challenge.

Only one show remains. Who do you think will win? Please let us know with your votes! We will post them, along with the results for Tabatha's Quiz, early next week.

Who Will Win?
Ben
Anthony
Daisy

Sorry this is late; Eric Three Thousand has been experiencing technical difficulties.

Anyway, on with the Shear Genius finale!

Jaclyn Smith: "This show is dragging on too long so we've decided to just send the rest of you home today. I'm sorry but all of you have just given your last cuts."

Wow! Time really flies when you're having fun! That season went by so quickly; I can hardly believe it's over! Well, thanks, everyone, for reading. Good night and drive safely!

Shear Genius: Caption Corner - Episode V

Yes, believe it or not, I'm still alive. Please excuse my tardiness with this post but an unexpected family issue arose this past week which kept me away from my computer and prevented me from posting in a timely manner.

As always, thank you all for contributing to the wackiness by way of your comments. They are always appreciated and always bring a smile to our faces!

A special thank you goes out to Damselfly for continuing to keep us all in stitches with her caption ideas. As always, it was a close one to call but there was just something about the term "Bum-looker" that was just too damn funny. So congratulations, Damsel. You have this week's winning caption!

Here's a few warm-up images for ya. You'll find this week's blank image for your captioning pleasure at the bottom of this post.

You know you screwed up when your client turns violent or suicidal...

Ouch, Jaclyn. Very Ouch!

We are not amused...

Here's your image. As always, have fun and keep those ideas coming!

Shear Genius Episode 5: Hair of the Dog!

Posted by Eric3000

Tabatha: "The episode is called hair of the dog? Son of a bitch! I told you we were going to have to give haircuts to dogs! I just knew it! What further indignities will I have to endure?"

Relax! I just made up that title. You won't really have to give a haircut to a dog ... this week.

The real title of this week's episode is "Freak to Greek." the geniuses have to take a bunch of long-haired weirdos and make them look like shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis.

Or slice and dice him.

Fig jam. Mmm. Sounds tasty. Think I'll try it on white bread.

Meanwhile, in Boogie land...

Ayeeeei, it jiggled!

"Ya gotta minimize the maximus, shugah, or you gonna look like a side of beef in no time."

Shear Genius: Caption Corner - Episode IV

Happy Monday, everyone! Can you believe last week's episode didn't contain so much as one mannequin's head? I know my jaw hit the floor when we got live models for the Short Cut Challenge! I'm sure Dr. Boogie's model wishes they had used mannequin heads! Poor thing. And OK, I think we all suspected Evangelin was a little off her rocker from the get go, but damn if she didn't ride the train all the way to Crazy Town this week! I can't help but wonder if clients really came into her salon requesting a hedge trimmer cut?!? Ya think?

Anyway, thank you as always for your entries! This week's winner got so creative we had to burst the caption out of the frame to accommodate the wackiness! Dan, thank you for playing and congratulations, you have this week's winning caption!
Tabs and Anthony are fun, aren't they? I'm glad you think so because I'm bringing them back for another round! Honestly, I didn't mean to but when I saw these two lounging about in their robes, something about it just felt right. You'll find this week's blank image at the bottom of this post. But first, here's a few warm-ups:

Yes, ma'am!!

Might help if you stopped buying them in boys' sizes...

I dunno, but they'd probably go great with the vinaigrette on your face...
Oh, no she did NOT, just give Sally "the hand"...

And so we come to this week's image. Feel free to indicate whether your caption is a speech or thought bubble and certainly feel free to use either Tabs, Anthony, or both! Have fun!!

Shear Genius Episode Three or Four: The Massage Episode!

Posted by Eric3000

So Evangelin won last week with her hedge clippers, which was the high point of her entire life:

Evangelin: "It does not get any better for me."

Well, that's a depressing yet accurate statement.

Shearly Wonderful Bitch Slap Fest

Give me a head with hair, long beautiful hair, shining gleaming steaming flaxen waxen. Give me it down to there, hair, shoulder length or longer, here, baby, there, mamma, everywhere, daddy daddy hair! Flow it, show it, long as God can grow it ...

You're right, Anthony, they're all wankers. But first, I gotta take Ms. Goodie Two Shoes down. This win's gone to her head. She's singing that loony Hair song in front of the judges! There's room for only one Diva on this show and you're looking at her.

Say what, Bitch?

You've singlehandedly set back the hair profession and all scientific inquiry as we know it. Not to mention lawn maintenance procedures.

Shear Genius: Caption Corner - Episode III

Sorry for being late, everyone. My computer was experiencing some growing pains that had to be tended to before I could complete this post. Fortunately, it was minor and she's back up and running.

My thanks again to everyone who submitted a caption entry. It was even harder this week to select a winner because there were two that really stood out. Personally, I couldn't decide which was funnier and since funny is funny and they both were VERY funny we decided to split the win between Nutmeg and our own Damselfly.

So without further ado, please enjoy our two winners for the week:

Nutmeg's Caption
I suspect we wouldn't be surprised if one day we came to discover that Sally had been fashioning a full bodysuit made of balls...

Damselfly's Caption
Oh, sure, Sally. Blame it on the hair...

Thank you, ladies, for bringing the funny! And thanks again to everyone for your entries!

Now here's a few new captions from last week's episode to get your warmed up for this week's image:

We lobbied for ass whoopins, but the network said, "no."

Heaven must be a very soggy place...

Why dont'cha offer him a lollipop and find out?

America agrees.

Now here's your image for the week. I'm sure you've all been waiting to caption something with Tabatha so enjoy. Just for reference, if I'm not mistaken, I believe this was where everyone was crying and Tabatha was absolutely puzzled by the display of emotion.

Have fun!

Separated at birth...?

Tabatha . . . . & . . . . Bjork
